QR codes for table tents

A table tent is a tiny billboard at 25 cm from a phone. The codes that belong on it are the ones a seated guest needs in the first minutes: the menu and the guest WiFi. The review ask belongs on the check, not here. Print at least 3 cm square, leave a quiet margin, and laminate matte so overhead lights do not blank the pattern. Free, no account, and the codes never expire. Make the menu code on the menu tool; this page is how to put it on the tent.

How to put QR codes on a table tent

1

Decide what lives on the tent

Menu and WiFi, labelled. Keep the review code off this card — it goes on the check presenter.

2

Print large enough, matte

At least 3 cm square each, with a clear quiet zone. Matte laminate or acrylic; skip gloss.

3

Test from the seat

Scan both codes from a real chair, under the room's real lighting, before you order a hundred tents.

QR codes for table tents FAQ

How big should a QR code be on a table tent?
About 3 cm (1.2 in) across, scanned from a seated arm's length. Go larger if you add a logo or use a dense WiFi payload. A window code is a different object and needs roughly 8 cm.
Menu, WiFi, and review — all on the same tent?
Menu and WiFi, yes. Review, no. A review ask at the start of the meal is the wrong moment; put that code on the check presenter or the receipt.
Will laminating stop it scanning?
Matte laminate is fine and protects the card from spills. High-gloss laminate reflects ceiling lights into the camera and is the usual reason a tent fails on the floor after it scanned in the studio.
Is this the same as the restaurant menu guide?
No. That page owns menu-link setup for restaurants. This one is the physical tent — size, laminate, and what to put on the card — in cafes, hotels, tasting rooms, and events as well as restaurants. The menu generator is the tool either way.
Is it free?
Yes. Unlimited codes, no account, no watermark.
