Your QR codes never leave your browser

Everything you enter into the generator — links, WiFi network names and passwords, contact details, and any logo image you add — is processed locally on your device by JavaScript running in your browser. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else, and none of it is stored on a server.

We therefore cannot see, recover, or share the contents of any code you make. Because the codes are static, they also do not report scans back to us or to you.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools, and they are treated differently.

• Umami — privacy-focused and cookieless. It records aggregate page views, the referring site, and coarse signals such as country, browser, operating system and device type. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across other websites. It runs without asking, because it does not collect personal data.
• Google Analytics 4 — cookie-based, and it does not load at all unless you press Allow on the consent banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, the Google script is never fetched and no Google cookies are set. If you do allow it, IP anonymisation is enabled.

What is stored on your device

A small amount of data is kept in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is never sent anywhere, and you can clear it at any time through your browser's site-data settings.

• qra:consent — whether you allowed or declined Google Analytics, so you are not asked on every page.
• qra:saved — any QR designs you choose to save, kept only so the saved-designs list works. Saved designs are local to that one browser and are not synced or backed up.

Supporting the project

The optional coffee link sends you to a Stripe-hosted payment page. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe under their own privacy policy — we never see or receive your card details, and no payment information passes through this site.

Following that link is entirely voluntary, and nothing on the site is gated behind it.

Third parties we load

These are the only external services this site contacts:

• Umami (cloud.umami.is) — cookieless analytics, loaded on every page.
• Google Analytics (googletagmanager.com) — loaded only after you press Allow.
• Stripe (buy.stripe.com) — only if you click the support link.
• Fonts are self-hosted on this domain, so no font provider sees your visit.

Changing your mind

To withdraw analytics consent, clear this site's data in your browser settings. The banner will appear again on your next visit and you can decline.

Clearing site data also removes any saved QR designs, since those live only in your browser.
